Training on the 11th December ws a great and successful one.
The program went as follows,
1500 - 1515 hours ;; FALL IN and TAKE attendance
1515 - 1615 hours ;; Campcraft session
Xueling took charge and spilt all the squad ups into groups, including the NCOs and the NCOs were the one who did a great job in coaching the cadets in drills.
Great Job Done NCOS!
1615 - 1715 hours ;; MINIcompetition
Edna took charge, with the help of the NCOs.
This was a mini competition held within the unit. Each groups, with their knowledge of campcraft must built a gadet/structure within 1 hour. Logistics were given and each group went off and started with the discussion followed by the structure.
During the whole process of the MINIcompetition, the cadets are not to leave their logistics unattended, if any NCOs found the logisitics unattended, they took it. How did the groups get back their logistics? By doing a forefeit of course! It was sure a fun and interesting process.
Through this activity, cadets bond together and also do experimentation with what they have learnt for campcraft. With their knowledge of knots and lashings they were to built a structure, thus this section came under pioneering.
The results were satisfying as many of them were only first-time hands on with what they have learnt. Keep it up people! (:
Even after the whole official NPCC time, cadets stayed back together to play ball games which they co-organised within themselves. It started out with only 7 people and soon, more joined and it seemed like the whole unit was there.

TO ALL YCKSS NPCC NCOs
The Adventure Training Facilities (ATF) will be held on the 27th January 2007.
All NCOs are to turn up on that day so please keep yourself available on the 27th Jan.
It will be a fun & exciting trip for all as you will be playing various obstacles like
the flying fox which you can only play with once in a lifetime.So don't miss it.
Attire: Pt-kit with NCOs tee.
Time: Waiting to be confirm.
Reporting venue: School.
Place of event: Pulau Ubin.
